We can’t too sure about direct causes of cancer. But three factors are very important genetic, lifestyle, environment. However, prevention is largely lifestyle modification and adjustment. Avoid cigarette smoking and tobacco:
Cigarette contains about 7000 chemicals and more than 70 cause cancers. Cigarette and tobacco consumption increase risk of several cancers includes chewing tobacco and sniffing of snuff. Also secondhand smokers those who in presence of a smoker and indirectly inhaling the smoke and also increases the risk of developing the cancers.
Reduce alcohol intake:
While cigarette has been linked to cancers of mount, throat, lungs etc. Excessive alcohol consumption has been linked to cancers involving livers. As always we are not saving stop but reduce the amount of alcohol intake too few times weekly.
Regular medical checkup and screening:
Especially if you have a history of cancer in your family. If we asked some question coughing blood, weight loss, loss of appetite etc. If we examine physical examination skin, if we examine breasts cancer for female and examine prostate for a male. Also very important test such as screening mammograms for breast cancers colonoscopy and pap smear include in the cervix.
Eats more fruits and vegetables:
Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants phytochemicals, vitamins, and minerals which have been improved health from the cellular level and prevent disease. Generally, it is agreed that regular eating reduces the risk of developing cancers.
Become physically active:
Overweight and obesity have been linked to cancers. So it is logically to decrease the risk of developing cancers, make sure stay fit as much as possible. Being physically active helps maintain a healthy weight. Avoid sedentary lifestyle and exercise regularly it could help to reduce the risk of cancers.
